Mary Caruana

Mary Ann Caruana peacefully went home to heaven on October 16th, 2022. She was a sister to eight siblings. Mary was born June 23, 1938 to Marianna and Moses Bartolo of Mellieha, Malta. Mary spent much of her youth visiting and living with her Aunt Rosie and Aunt Victoria who resided in Selmun, Malta. Mary was baptized, received holy communion and was confirmed in the Catholic Church. Mary began a life of enjoying cooking and baking by way of her mother and her aunts. Mary was an excellent cook and baker. Mary enjoyed swimming in the Mediterranean waters behind the Selmun Palace and was taught to swim by Father Joseph who also played a big part in Mary’s childhood. She married Tony Caruana in 1957 and had four children, David, Paul (deceased 1961), Dennis and Michael and ten grandchildren, Cortney, Averie, Kohlby, Joseph, Jennifer, Jonathan, Amanda, Cody, Megan and Christie, as well as four great-grandchildren

A viewing for Mary will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave, Riverside, CA 92506.
