Dear Villanueva family,  I have had you all on my mind a lot over the years but especially these past few weeks.  What a shock to find your sweet Mama's obituary.   My heart truly hurts for your loss.  You were all so blessed to have her,  we all were.  She was my spiritual mother.  I am filled with many rich memories.  Love and  prayers of comfort, as well as distance hugs.  Connie Walker Wallis.

Thank you for sharing your mom, Mary with us all while she was here on the earth. Tho she’s in the best place  now, and rejoicing with others,  she’s sure to be missed. 
She was a true shining example of Christ in our lives, so full of love and light, and joy. Such an encourager, and an amazing teacher & preacher. Most of all a great friend. She taught us so much just by her living her  life.  Always so faithful, with an obvious great love for God. 
So Sorry we couldn’t be at the memorial. Our deepest condolences to you all.

My loving condolences to all of the Villanueva Family, may you all have the lords peace and comfort during this very difficult time. I am so glad to have known grandma Mary, she was a wonderful woman, always kind and loving. I am forever grateful for the memories that we made when I was a kid. Going to church and spending time together on Sundays while enjoying pot roast lunches. Those are some of my best childhood memories. I hold all of them dear to my heart. And although I will miss her very much, I know that one day I will see her again. Until we meet again, love you grandma Mary

 Your Love and sacrifices have enriched  so many lives. Your heart was truly led by the Lord our God. Thank you for coming into my life and giving my child and I acceptance unconditionally. I will carry you in my heart forever and remember how you were a true servant of God, a loving wife, and a devoted Mother. My name is Linda Villanueva, Mom & Dad's favorite daughter-in-law, so they would tell me; especially, Dad; but then, I was their only DIL.  What I'd like to share is my very first encounter with my future mother-in-law.  I received salvation in 1979, and because of my Catholic upbringing, I had questions about my new faith.  My pastor at the time suggested I talk with "Sister Mary."  Therefore, I thought she was a Catholic Nun.  But I became confused when my pastor said that I would have to make an afternoon appointment with her because she worked and had a family.  Catholic Nuns do not work secular jobs, nor do they marry and have families.  Needless to say, I met sister Mary at her home and discovered that she was definitely not a Catholic Nun!  She was a wonderful mother-in-law and throughout my journey of faith, I learned a lot from her.  I loved her very much, and I will miss her tremendously.

I am Mary Villanueva's son, and I can't begin to tell you about our relationship as mother and son over the years, but what I can relate is that I KNOW that I KNOW she loved me dearly, and that love never wavered.  She prayed to God for a son, He gave her one, she dedicated that boy to God, and then raised that boy the best she know how.  The tremendous value that comes from having a mother that teaches you about the deeper spiritual things in life is something that just can't be put into words.
