Our beloved María Luz Velásquez, age 95, was born on August 7, 1928 in a small town called San Jose de la Montaña in Guanajuato, Mexico. She lived in Casa Blanca, Riverside, California for 71 years. Predeceased by her husband, Ventura Velásquez, and survived by her children Roberto, Jose, Nancy, Enrique, Elena, her sister Sara, her brother Camilo, her 11 grandchildren, her 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
María Luz loved gardening, going to the circus, taking long walks, singing, cooking, dancing, family get-togethers, watching wrestling, watching roller derby, telling jokes, going to Fairmount Park, and most of all, she cherished her family and friends.
We will always hold our beautiful mother in our hearts forever. We will never forget all of the wonderful memories that we made with her.
