Maria Isabel Mares was born on August 4th, 1962 in Riverside, California. Maria was born to the late Jose Mares and Margarita de Lara. She has five brothers and four sisters — Ramon Mares, Raul Mares, Jose Mares Jr., Emilio Mares, Carlos Mares, Alicia Mares de Rodriguez, Armida Mares de Sandoval, Anita Mares, and Rosa Maria Mares de Jaquez.
Maria spent her early years dedicating her life to education, which led to her graduating from UCR in 1980. She then began working for the social security office and that has been her passion ever since. For 39 years, she dedicated countless hours, energy, and passion to the social security office, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside her. Maria's professional life was a testament to what it means to dedicate oneself to a craft, and to always give more than is asked.
Maria also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, finding joy in the simple moments. Maria had a rich and fulfilling life, marked by meaningful relationships. Maria and her partner Debbie were both proud parents to their son Devin and together loved their grandchildren endlessly. She also shared a devoted and loving bond with Thomas. Maria loved fiercely, and her life embodied the beauty of love in all its forms.
