He was 44 years old.
He was born January 11, 1977 at Riverside General Hospital in Riverside, California. Kenny lived his whole life in Riverside with his parents, Ernie and Joyce Velasquez. He attended school in Riverside from the age of 9 months learning daily life skills and vocational experiences.
He received his certificate of completion from Romona High School in 1997. He then furthered his vocational training at Project TEAM earning his second certificate of completion 1999. He participated in several programs aiming at continuing his daily life experiences outside of the classroom as an adult.
Kenny loved to travel, riding horses, Challenger Little League, music and Christmas lights and decorations. He often cruised Magnolia Avenue with his Dad enjoying the day, music and occasionally flirting with the girls.
Kenny made a lot of friends during his life. Kenny’s friends often became part of his extended family. He was a happy soul. He touched the lives of everyone he met and you would remember his smile, enthusiasm and occasionally his stubbornness. Whatever you remember, he taught us to be kinder and to enjoy life.
The thing that Kenny probably enjoyed to most, was anything “Disney”. He often went to Disneyland several times a year. Because of his enjoyment, they quickly became annual pass holders when he turned 16. He later spent his birthday weeks at Walt Disney World in Florida and the rest of the holidays (Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving) at the Disney Resort . He often took the additional trips to Disneyland with his friends and classmates. Disney mixed all the things that Kenny loved most: music, color, excitement, sense adventure, happiness and that “Disney Magic”. And he gave us those things back in spades to those that knew and loved him.
Kenny is survived by his mother Joyce Velasquez . His multiple cousins: Jamie Brewer, Billy, Kyle and Christopher Botsch, his honorary “Little Brother” Deany Evans, and his Riverside cousins: Ernie, Nathan, and Greg Anaya, DeAnn, Mark, Cipriano, Fatima, Alfred, Ashley, Vanessa, Veronica, Dave, Uncles: Mike Brewer and Jack Brewer and Alfred Velasquez Aunts: Debra Botsch , Andrea Anaya and Vivian Conyers Grandfather: Jack E.
