Sad to learn about the passing of cousin Pepe. He was always kind and thoughtful towards my mom Norma (Natividad) and family. Always greeted us with a warm smile and hug. My  prayers go out to Connie, their children and grandchildren.  He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace. 


Hi Familia. I'm Carlos, or better known to my Tio Pepe and many of the primos as Cubibies.  When I first heard of Tios stroke last year I immediately heard his voice in my hearts ear saying, "CUBBS!"  That's what he said every time I saw him. As a kid, Tios gentle laughter always made me happy.  His humor kept us kids entertained during camping trips to Lytle Creek and during family get togethers...I sure miss those days.  But let our weeping turn to joy as we all share in these precious memories.  I hope to hear "CUBBS" one last time in eternity as we meet again in Gods Kingdom Tio!  Deepest sympathies to Tia Connie, Cousins John John, Ida, Sonia and Mickey.  Love you and know the Yanez familia is always here for you.

I am Ramona D. Natividad aka "Mona" the youngest sister of Juan Jose Guerra aka "PEPE" so many heartfelt memories of  you  "PEPE".    You will always be the Ideal Man,  I admired that in you. I was also honored to know that you survived an returned from Vietnam, I can remember the countless nights Mom had us pray for your return of a war we knew nothing about.  All we prayed for was your safe return along with all other soldier's. You took care of me, and always showed kindness, patience, Love, and support.  I take this time to Thank You and Connie for being my Gaurdians in my past.  Living with you two allowed me the privilege of watching your relationship grow and blossom into parents, as a big brother you displayed a father figure to me.  You set a great example to us. My name is Paul (Pablo) Guerra, I am the son of Juan's little brother Oliverio D. Guerra and unbelievably proud to call this man my Tio!!! There aren't many significant memories in my life that don't include my second family. The love and respect given was an early and continuous life lesson for me. I knew at a very young age that this man was different than just about all the rest.  He was the most gentle person I've ever known, yet the change of his voice, when us kids laughed uncontrollably at the dinner table, would put things into perspective quick!!! I remember one weekend JohnJohn and I were messing around making a ton of noise while he was in his study trying to concentrate and that voice came out. The following day we went to the Kingdom Hall, I snuck away to go to the restroom and heard a distant and familiar voice. When I popped my head in, I saw him speaking at the podium and was taken aback for a minute. Amazed at how eloquently he spoke, the absolute confidence and command that had everyone's undivided attention. It was then that I unknowingly realized as a kid, the fundamental life lesson of doing ones diligence in order to speak on anything with that same confidence. That there is huge difference between demanding and commanding respect, you command respect by the way you interact with and ultimately treat people!!! I have been extremely fortunate in my life to be surrounded, taught and raised by good men. My Tio Pepe is and will forever remain at the very top of my list!!! My hopes are that this one memory can give people, just a glimpse of what he was about and how simply amazing he is!!! I am forever grateful to him and his family for allowing me to be a part of them!!! Ciao Tio!!! I will love, miss and cherish your memory for the rest of my days. Thank you for everything!!!

My name is Sylvia Guerra-Conley and I am the niece of Juan "Pepe" Guerra. There are so many memories of my Tio throughout my 49 years of life. All were filled with Love, compassion, understanding but most of all laughter.  My Tio was a very funny man and always kept it clean when most of us didn't. He would always greet me with a big hug and smile and call me his Sylvania light bulb which he had done all my life. Growing up I looked up to my Tio like a father, he was always there no matter what. He was the type that never looked down on me when I didn't make the best choices in my life. Instead he always pointed me in the right direction and things always worked out the way he said they would. I can never thank him enough for all the times he was there for me. I will never forget you Tio. You will always  be one of my heroes and always be in my heart. I love you and will miss you always. Rest in Peace Tio
