John Sipos was born February 4, 1943 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Helen Sipos. John passed away in the early morning hours of August 1st with his entire family at his side. As a courageous United States Navy veteran who served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War, John is survived by his wife Charlotte Sipos of 56 years of marriage, three children, and five grandchildren. John and Charlotte met when they were in elementary school and have enjoyed a lifetime of memories and family. Together, they started building their family in Pennsylvania and then completed it in California when John was transferred to the Long Beach Naval Station.
Together, John and Charlotte have three children including, Pam Hauber, John Sipos and Jeff Sipos. Pam and her husband Kevin have three children: Jeff, Jessica and Janelle. Jeff Sipos and his wife Tami have two children: Grant and Clark. John is also survived by his brother Joseph "Jimmy" Sipos, and two sisters Eleanor Zbegner, and Bernadine.
John and Charlotte moved to Riverside, California in 1981 where John ended his career as a truck driver. John enjoyed raising animals and gardening in their rural home setting.
A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, August 13th from 5-8 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM at the Acheson & Graham mortuary in Riverside. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, August 14th at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jurupa Valley. Immediately following the church services, family and friends will travel in an escorted motorcade to the Riverside National Cemetery, for a military graveside service at 1:30 PM. Family and friend are encouraged to attend a celebration reception at the home of Jeff and Tami at 4:00 PM. Dinner will be provided.
