JOHN M. MAZZOLA John Mazzola passed away on April 4, 2011 in Riverside, California at the age of 85. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Riverside with his family in 1931. Mr. Mazzola graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1943 and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Upon his return from the service, he became a Master Carpenter who built fine and detailed cabinet work for over 30 years. John enjoyed building and flying model airplanes with other aviation enthusiasts. Mr. Mazzola was preceded in death by parents Fred and Angela Mazzola; sisters, Anne Judice, Josephine Creamer and Rosemarie McCathy. He is survived by sisters, Vincenza "Vee" Perricone and Rose Marietta of Riverside and Marie Johnson of Hemet, as well as many nieces and nephews. John was dearly loved by his family, and he will be greatly missed. The viewing will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. both at Acheson & Graham Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. in Riverside.
