John Joseph Galvin

He fought a short battle with Gastric Cancer.

John was born September 9, 1941 to Dr. Robert Galvin and Adele B. Beusch, In Oelwein, Iowa.

His family moved from Oelwein to Riverside, California in 1956, where he attended Poly High School in Riverside, graduating in 1959.

He also attended Riverside City College and San Bernardino Valley College where he received he Associates Degree.

He Joined the Us Army in 1960 and was Honorably Discharged in 1963.

John retired from his career as an industrial chemist, working in research and development for a coil coating company in 1998.

In June 1964 he married Kay and they made Riverside their home.

John & Kay had three Children, Jeffery Galvin of Riverside, Cindy Hilton (Tim) of Cherry Valley and Debbie Galvin of Riverside.

They were also blessed to have three wonderful Grandsons, Kaleb Naffsinger, Noah Perez and Jared Lozano.

He is also survived by three sisters, Bobbie Alexander (Paul) Of Menifee, California, Ann Marie Hampton of Northern, California, Patricia Mc Guckian of Riverside California and one Brother Tom Galvin (Pat) of Northern California.

A memorial service was be held at Acheson & Graham Garden Of Prayer Chapel May 14,2014 with Interment at Riverside National Cemetery.

The family suggest in Lieu of flowers those who wish may make a donation to the Cancer research fund of their Choice.
