JOHN O. CHALLENDER 61, of Riverside, CA, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010, at his home in Riverside after a brave battle with cancer. He worked in Central Mail for the County of Riverside. He also served the community in coaching the Magnolia Little League and was the president of JROTC Boosters at Poly High School. He is survived by his wife Deborah L. (Heger) Challender, sons John Robert Challender and James Dominic Challender of Riverside, father-in-law Alphouse Heger and mother-in-law Betty Heger of Oregon, brother-in-law Michael Heger, sister-in-law Anna Heger and niece Julie Bautista of Norwalk. A memorial service will be held at the Grove Community Church on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11 am.
