Today I remember my favorite Uncle Kin💕💕🙏🏼🙏🏼. I wish you happy heavenly anniversary and miss you very much. 🥲💕🙏🏼

To the family, uncle Kin will always be remembered forever. His generosity, kindness and compassion for everyone will truly be missed. Most of all his love and devotion to auntie Winnie the kid's and especially the grandkids. A man with great Honor and Commitment. RIP uncle Kin.

Uncle Kin, 
A very Honorable man, thank you for your service. You have touched so many people lives. In the past, present and it will continue on forever. Your legacy will live on forever. Your memories shared today will always be remembered. It sudden so many of your passing. I've had the great privilege to have shared many years with you. You sacrifice those long drive back and forth to work from Long Beach to Mira Loma for so many years. Then having to give up what time you have for the family. When you finally retired from your postal service. I knew that it's all for the family. 
You and auntie Winnie  were always there at a moment notice. I know that whenever you arrive . The coffee is always ready. Uncle kin I know your in a better place and smiling down at us with your cup of coffee in hand. A that awesome smile. 
Auntie Winnie, kids and grandchildren. It's so hard to find the words to express my feelings.  I pray that  one day we can all come together an remembered uncle Kin for he lived his life to the fullest and enjoy every moment with the families. 
May he rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon him.

I love my Uncle Kin beyond the moon. When we were living in Long Beach, he was always like my father figure and get mad at me in a loving way when ever I did something wrong. 
I also remember during Auntie Winnie’s mom’s funeral, he had filled my purse with rocks and it was so heavy. When I got to the church and looked inside OMG. Of course he said he didn’t do it. Lol

Antie Winnie and family, because of this pandemic we not able to be there with you to put Uncle Kin to rest.  But, God willing, when we are able to get together, I would like to join you all in the celebration of his life.

Thank you for your service to our country. You were an amazing family man. You made everyone who has ever met you feel at home. I am so grateful for the times I have seen you at our Chamoru performances.  The next time I dance for Kutturan Chamoru Foundation.  I dedicate that to you.  My heart goes out to Auntie and all the family.

Uncle Kin was one of the nicest uncles I’ve ever known. He was always very welcoming to our family.   Our most special memory of my uncle and his family was when we were in Las Vegas.  We had a nice time together.  He will be missed greatly. 

My name is Josh Lujan, grandson of Rosario Alcantara sister of Uncle Kin. What can I say?! Uncle will always be remembered and loved. Always there for family and friends. I will always remember how He and Aunty Winnie helped my mother Arlene and her husband John while going through medical procedures in Los Angeles. Also, best memories were made while visiting with my older brother Steven on the weekends and he would set up pranks both scary and funny ones. I will forever miss his coffee which he made fresh when I would come and visit :,( how I miss him say “Josh-Boy, mai’la and pour  some coffee the sugar and cream is there too”! or how I mentioned one time how I liked his ham hock and mongo beans. Well guess what? I was in for a treat for the next three visits while visiting my mom on the weekends as Uncle Kin hosted her and her husband while in L.A. for medical he made it just for me. I also had a favorite coffee mug I used while visiting him. It was a Guam mug that had floral print and said ‘Hafa Adai’ I always used. Well one day I was saying good bye and uncle had packed me food to go along with my favorite coffee mug he had given me.  This is just a few memories of the many kind and loving acts Uncle Kin has done for me and many others.

You are missed dearly my Great Uncle, Kin! Please say hello to my father and rest of family up in heaven.

RIP Uncle Kin, It's been a while since we have spoken, but a conversation we had when I was a child has been shared with many people. The story of how you received that precious metal, The Purple Heart, I asked you how does one get shot in the ass, it's either friendly fire or you were running the wrong way, not sure if you ever gave me an answer, but it still makes me grin, every time I talk about it!  Say Hi to all the Chamarro family!

My name is Elizabeth Crabtree and had the privilege of being the niece of a very special man, my favorite uncle, Uncle Kin.  With his passing, I would like to take this time to share some of my fondest memories of my Uncle Kin, the hero, the prankster, my mentor but most of all my father-figure.

Everyone in the family at one point in time got pranked by Uncle Kin, it was his way of showing you he loved you.  His sense of humor and practical jokes are legendary and will live on forever.  You couldn’t help but sit back and laugh at all his antics. 

One of the famous pranks he pulled on me occurred when I was returning back to Texas from a trip to Florida, while boarding the plane I noticed that the people next to me smelled awful but I just figured it was due to the humidity and sweat.  When I sat down in the plane I still smelled the awful smell next to me so I sat the entire flight having to smell this awful smell, it wasn’t until I arrived home and cleaned out my purse that I noticed that someone put raw onions in my purse, I immediately knew Uncle Kin had placed the raw onions in my purse that contributed to the worse plane ride I ever experienced in my life.  What raced through my mind was the fact that the people next to me smelled it too and probably thought it was me that smelled!  When I called Uncle Kin to ask him about this, he denied that he put the raw onions in my purse, he always denied it was him but we all knew it was ALWAYS him.

Uncle Kin’s pranks showed no bias, on one occasion he hid under my mom’s bed hoping to scare the next person that came into my mom’s room, unfortunately it was my mom, Josefa who walked into the room only to have her legged grabbed by Uncle Kin, that day I heard the loudest scream come out of my mother.   On another occasion while in Florida, Uncle Kin loaded up my brother-in-law Joe Bradney and my husband Gene Crabtree to go pick mangos, he said he knew of a good spot that some people he knew allowed them to pick mangos. 

It is difficult to come to grips with Uncle Kin’s passing, even though it is something we all must face.  He was a man who was exemplary in fulfilling the obligations he owed to family, God, and country. He loved deeply, and laughed often, and left us all with memories of his sincere warmth and playfulness.  He traveled long distances to share in family weddings, graduations, birthdays, and christenings, to console and help mourn the losses of loved ones, and he was as generous with his time as with his finances.  Although he was the youngest son, he fell naturally into the roll of family patriarch, as others looked to him for advice and approval. 
I am grateful that he welcomed me as a friend and worthy to be the husband of his niece, and I offer my sincerest condolences to those who are most heartbroken by the loss they have sustained.  We will miss him, until we meet again.

My Mom and Uncle Kin are brother and sister.
One of my fond memories of him was when I was very young, about 9 years old. He would pay me 25 cents to spit shine his shoes, so when he went on his date with Aunt Winnie, he looked sharp.

On one of our many visits to his home, he put Spam and Corned Beef in my luggage. I didn’t realize he had done this until we got home.

Uncle Kin was the glue that held our family together. He was a father figure to most of us. He was always there when we needed him. He always had an answer for our questions, whether it was cooking or what to do for a party.

Uncle Kin and Aunt Winnie have always been the Hostess with the Mostest. They always help everyone and we’re always ready to lend a hand. I will miss him dearly.

Give to others and God will give to you. Indeed you will receive, a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands, all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you.

Uncle Kin came to my house  before he left and  brought a huge box. He said be careful it's breakable. We visited a few minutes because he was making his rounds. After he left as instructed, I opened my box  carefully. Lots of newspapers and a huge rock. Under the rock wrapped in tissue paper was a purple blouse from Auntie Winnie. I just cracked up. Leave it to him to play his jokes. Love you Uncle Kin RIP.


I don't even know where to begin.  No words can describe the deep respect we have for you Uncle Kin and what a great man you were.  We feel a great loss in our hearts.   My family and I are so sadden by your passing and will miss you immensely.  We want to thank you and Auntie Winnie so much for always welcoming us with your doors wide open as well as your hearts.  To Lisa, Sonja, Fran, Frank, Des, Monie and Chamoran, we like to thank all of you for sharing your dad and grandfather with Steve and I, Nikki, Adrian, Darian and Adriana.  We have so many fond memories and lots of laughs with him.  Know that we will always be here for you.  His beautiful kind heart and respect for others greatly shine in all of you and you will forever remind us of him.  Heaven has truly gained a beautiful Angel.   We love you Uncle Kin, we'll miss you, and may you rest in peace. 

Uncle Kin.  Country of Origin: Guam.  Definition: trust, faith, and devotion. Uncle Kin was devoted to family and had the love for all of us that we needed growing up to ensure everyone would live a proper and healthy life.  His humility was so pure that even I couldn't understand it at first because I was kind of a bad influence at times. He gave me the tough love my hard head needed.  So Uncle Kin, thank you for that.  As I said many times now, I wouldn't have chose a rightous enough path to get me where I'm at today without your tough love and direction.  I know my father was tough as well, but sometimes I didn't listen to him.  Then I went to your house and you told me a lot of things he also told me and I realized wow....you hate me too. But I was wrong....You cared about me, loved me, and pushed me to better myself and I that's why I am gonna miss you.  And if that was you the other night when the wooden Latte Stones fell on me...I understand and believe it was to give me one last knock on my hard head so I'd never forget your love......God Bless you Uncle. And Rest in Paradise. 

There's just too many memories about Uncle. I know my memories with him and Auntie Winnie and their children was always filled with fun and laughter. I will miss that because without him it just won't be the same. Uncle was the life of the times we spent together. He was the one who would make everyone around him laugh and would pull pranks on anyone he wanted to. Ofcourse he would always deny it wasn't him. I remember when he was taking me to the airport in LA to go to Guam. Mind you I had little kids at that time so my hands were full as it is. He dropped me off and as I was carrying my luggage inside, I noticed there was one that was kinda heavy. I packed the night before so I knew that the luggage was not that heavy. So when I got inside i put the luggage down to open it up to see where that weight was coming from. Low and behold there was a bag of firewood. I'm like wth. I knew it was him. I couldn't just take that bag out and not knowing where to dispose of it, because it was after 9/11 and the airports were very suspicious of anything. I didn't know what to do so I zipped up the luggage and ended taking the firewood to Guam. I mean who does that?? And why would I need firewood in Guam. But yes that was my Uncle. He will get you lol. Then he says it wasn't me. I have alot of fun memories that I will always cherish. I will always remember him as the fun Uncle. He always takes care of anyone before himself. He always made you feel comfortable. He will feed you and feed you and feed you. I don't normally hang out with the elders lol. But my Uncle is an exception. He was not boring, he was funny as heck, he was the type of person to be around because if your having a bad day it will be a great day because of his presence. Anyways Uncle, just so you know when you left a piece of my heart was taken. I will miss you and I promise to be good and when I need to laugh I will think of you. May you rest in paradise and until we meet again. I love you Uncle.
