My peaceful video to visit with you dad. I feel close to you when I watch it.

Today is your birthday Dad and I wish you were here. I think of you all the time and I miss our daily phone calls so much. It's still a struggle not to pick up the phone to call you. I thought it would get easier over the years, but it doesn't.  I don't know if there is an afterlife, but if there is, I hope you are having an amazing day. I hope you know how much I love you and miss you.  Happy Birthday

Darkness. 
The truest darkness. 
Is not the absence of light. 
It is the conviction that the light will never return. 
But the light always returns. To show us things familiar. 
Home. 
Family. 
And things entirely new, or long overlooked. 
It shows us new possibilities and challenges us to pursue them. 
My darkness was deep and seemed to swallow all hope. 
But your presence has been here the whole time. 
To remind me that hope IS real. 
That you can see it.

82 years ago today Etta and Paul Robertson would welcome their tiny blessing into this big world. They would name him Jerry Lee. 
24 years later, I would be blessed to call him "My Dad".  

Dad, I wish I could be with you for your birthday. I am missing you extra today. 
I hope you're spending today with Grandma & Grandpa. If you are, I know you'll be having an extra -special Happy Birthday

 I hope up in heaven you finally have no pain, and you're up there riding your favorite horse again... Give Diana lots of loves from me and tell aunt Janet I miss her too. I hope you can see me better from up there and you enjoy the view.  You'll forever be in my thoughts... 
I still have the rosary you gave me back in 1996 and it still glows in the dark.

Dad, Here it is 11:40 pm and I feel such an emptiness in my heart and soul. I always think of you and I miss you so much. The pain is unbearable at times. My life will never be the same without you.
