I worked in the ER at Parkview hospital for a number of years, and had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Stevens.  He was always very dapper in a suit and tie at work, a very old world type of gentleman; always approachable, always willing to answer a question.  I was also privileged to hear him sing during a Christmas banquet.  When I was diagnosed with breast cancer as a new mother, he made a point of checking on me in the hospital, a kindness that was above and beyond the call of a supervisor/colleague.  I will remember his kindness most of all.

My sister and I met Doc, Berlin and Tammy at Paver theater back 1986. We all did plays together in San Bernardino. We all became very good friends. Tammy was one of my bride's maids and Berlyn was my vocal coach. We would always be at their house playing games and swimming. We kept in touch for years. I miss Tammy, and Berlyn and now Doc is back home with them. He is singing beautifully in Heaven with his wife and daughter. Praying for his family now. Love Judy.

My deepest condolence to Dr Steven’s  family.  Dr Steven was my most beloved Doctor for all my married years which is 53 years he did my husband and my blood test for us to be married he delivered all 5 of our children and he was my one and only primary doctor.  I am going to miss my Doctor .  He was such a blessing to our family .  He will be forever in our hearts

What a GREAT DOCTOR AND MAN. Dr. Stevens and family embraced me in 1983 when I first moved to Riverside from Pennsylvania.  I was his Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Representative. I admired his professionalism and dedication to man. He helped me later to become a Physician Assistant and was very proud of my achievement.  Over the years I would see him occaisonally.  I will never forget him.  To his family, as you already know,  he the epitome of what God intended us to be here on earth!  My prayers go out to you all. Rest Well With God Dr. Stevens!

Dr. Steven’s was a legend who brought my sister, daughter, into this world and cared for my parents, mother-in-law upon departure. His voice delivered a reverence of spiritual acceptance to the Lord and was an excellent servant in which we should all imitate.  Our prayers to his family for he is truly missed!

You may wonder what a picture of Betty Boop is doing here, but as it turns out my dad was a huge fan of hers! And not only her, he also loved Yosemite Sam, Pluto and Mickey mouse. In fact, I still have the Mickey mouse telephone from one of his old offices! This picture comes from my daughter Naomi Stevens who is in Orlando, Florida with her high school marching band. She like my father performs with a marching band but she plays clarinet. He played tuba.

You will truly be missed.   Dr. Srevens was a wonderful person,Doctor, friend with a beautiful heart.    You sang at my wedding in 1994.   ❤️❤️❤️

This is a South African dish called "Bobotie" it has beef, eggs, peach & mango chutney and potatoes in it. You might be wondering why in the world I would post a picture of a South African casserole here. Well, we Stevens tend to be foodies. I remember Tammy and my dad would sneak out sometimes and go try new restaurants (at Tammy's behest) then if it met the standards dad'd take the whole family there later. Well it was years before I realized how much I like to cook and how much of my dad's "foodiness" is in me.  
 This dish which was ell received by my Namibian friend. Thank you Dad for the wonderful memories! One of the things I remember most about you were the times that you cooked and how elegant and exquisite your tastes were in all areas of your life. God blessed me by letting me be born into your family. Thank you forever. Love, Tony

Docs last birthday with Mountain View. What a wonderful man❤️

I will always cherish Uncle Bubby's visits to New Jersey. He will be missed by all. To my cousins, be encouraged in this time of sorrow  and rejoice in knowing he is with his mother, sister and Heavenly Father.

One of the best moments of my life was being able to cuddle with Grandpa before he passed. He used to come see us once a year until he couldn't make the trip. Thankfully we we were able to go see him. On one of our visits I was able to cuddle with him. That's when this picture was taken. I'll cherish him and this moment for the rest of my life.

When I first came to work at Parkview, it was kinda rough being new to the place and to California; but when I learned that Dr. Stevens was also from New Jersey, and as a Charge Nurse, you get to sit next to him, by that corner computer across Bed 6 and GYN room in the old Parkview ED, I felt right at home. He liked his coffee with 3 Hazelnut creamers and I enjoyed bringing him home-cooked foods to take home, knowing he lived alone. Once in a while, we'd talk about Jersey, his family, who came to visit from back East. He was such a gentle soul and touched the lives of everyone he met. He now sings with angels in heaven. 🙏💙 Rest well, dear doctor.

RIP, Dr. Stevens.  You were a scholar and a gentleman.  I recall clearly how smartly you dressed and that beautiful star cabochon ring you wore that you said your wife gifted you.  Your calm and gentle demeanor was much admired and it was my privilege to work alongside you.  Your memory is a blessing.

In the 1990’s we had “Secret Pals” one year in the ER and I would get these amazing gifts! One was this beautiful set of a pitcher, and glasses, hand painted! (They still grace my formal dining room year round) 
We had the big reveal of our “Secret Pals” at the end of the year and almost the entire ER staff wanted to know who drew my name as the gifts were so amazing. 
It was Dr Stevens, and he said his wife picked out most of the gifts. I felt so very honored and blessed! 
A memory I will cherish forever❤️
