Lieve Henny. Onze zwager Gerard....mijn zwager... helaas... Al scheidde een oceaan en een continent ons zus, onze verbondenheid was er niet minder om. En de tijden die we met z'n vieren hebben mogen doorbrengen waren geweldig. Gerard was altijd geïnteresseerd hoe het in het oude gastel ging met onze hobby de wijngaard en Ruud z'n werk.
Ik kan zeggen dat ik weet hoe moeilijk het is voor jou deze periode. Zelfs nog moeilijker. Na al die jaren dat je dag en nacht klaar stond om voor Gerard te zorgen. En het nu bijna 4 weken duurde voordat je echt afscheid kunt en moet nemen  om dit af te sluiten.
Er komt nu een leegte die je moet gaan vullen met andere bezigheden, dat zal niet meevallen. Maar probeer iets te vinden dat je afleiding en zin geeft.
Ik weet dat je een grote steun aan Sylvia en Mike hebt en ik ben dankbaar dat je bij hun in huis woont. Ik heb diep respect voor hen. Ook voor hen heel veel sterkte.

Like on the last trip, my car cray uncle and cousin took me on a day windowshopping and testdrives. 
Talking about cars was a thing that never bored him, nor me.

I want to say Uncle... I always looked up to you!
You walked tall and proud, was kind and allway had such good conversations. Sometimes a bit short ;-) 
Also I hope thay my hair may turn get such a nice color as yours.
You will be mist, but allways loved.

I hope you got to drink a couple of beers with my father, grandpa and grandma.

Pretty soon after you left we went to visit you guys. For me it was my second time in the U.S.A. and for my wife the first. 
Again we got a warm welcome.

Of course we didn't let you go without taking a selfie.


We had fun with the really really big cuddly dog that we won at Ponypark Slagharen. 
I can hear the laughter when I think back to that moment. Your first look of disbelief and after that of course the jokes started.

After a nice day in Willemstad we drove back to my place and made it comforteble at my roof terrace.

After the beach and the marina we went for lunch at a local place.

You visited us in Holland and we drove to Willemstad. The weather could have been better, but that couldn't spoil the fun.

When I came over to the U.S.A. for the first time. You showed me so many things. We went to see a lot of car shops, Hover Dam and even Vegas. I will never forget those wonderfull times.

Jerry and I were very good friends. We celebrated many Birthdays and Holidays together. We served on the board of Meadow brook RV Park together. He will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to the family.      Benjamin B King.

You have always been the sole provider in our home and took such good care of us. You gave us such a wonderful life at such a sacrifice and personal cost we did not know. We will always love you with everything we have and more. We will miss you more than life itself!!
