FRED JIMENEZ Fred passed away on May 10, 2013. He was born Nov. 9, 1923 in Sedgwick, CO. In 1945 he served in the United States Army. In 1946 his troop took part in the occupation of Korea. In 1947 Fred moved to Riverside, California where he began his life and began working for National Ice and Cold Storage. The company was later sold to U.S. Cold Storage where he continued his career. Through the years he spent the majority of his time as a supervisor, and enjoyed it very much. He dedicated 40 years of his life to the company and later retired in 1989. He enjoyed raising his 3 children of which he is survived by: Ted Jimenez of Bountiful, Utah, Lorraine Granado of Corona, CA and Elaine Pena of Riverside, CA. Fred was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. He was very blessed to have enjoyed and seen the fourth generation of his family and how they had grown. Fred is also survived by his brothers, Manuel, Joe, Raymond, Isidor, Tony Jimenez; his sisters, Katy Smith, Jessie Manzanares, Jenny Garcia, and Mary Adame. Also extended family Margaret, Terry and Tony Ybarra and families. He is preceded in death by his brother Nash Jimenez and sister Maggie Reyes. Celebration of his life will be Friday, May 17th at Saint Francis De Sales, 4268 Lime St., Riverside, CA. Viewing and Rosary will be from 9:30am to 10:30am, followed by Mass services. Burial will follow and will be held at Olivewood Cemetery, 3300 Central Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506.
