Born to Ruben Onofre Reyes and Carmen Mulero on October 7, 1963 in Los
Angeles, California. Elliott attended North Hollywood High School, and served
honorably in the United States Coast Guard where he was awarded the
Sea Service Ribbon.
Post service, Elliott enjoyed a successful career in computer
engineering, working for such entities as SCE@business and CBS as a
Systems Integrator and Technical Engineer.
Possessing a life-long passion for automobiles, Elliott was a widely
known and universally adored member of the Southern California car
culture scene, where he founded his own club, organized countless
events, and helped to raise money for many worthy charities. He was at
his happiest sharing his passion for automobiles with his friends and
loved ones, as well as other fellow enthusiasts.
Elliott was deeply devoted to Cecilia Velasco, whom he married on May
14, 2005. Together, Elliott and Cecilia enjoyed many other interests,
including a keen appreciation of films, music and dance.
A truly gentle, positive and giving soul, Elliott was always happy to lend a
helping hand to others, be they close intimates or veritable strangers,
routinely advising all “not to sweat the small stuff” with a characteristic
wink and a genuine smile.
Elliott Reyes is survived by his parents Ruben and Carmen Reyes, sister Ruby
Ann Soria, wife Cecilia Reyes, son Jeffrey Allen Reyes, and grandchild
Oliver Orion Reyes.
