EILEEN B. STARICK RIDDLE Eileen was born in Salem, South Dakota, on November 22, 1922. She attended grade school and graduated high school from St. Mary's Catholic School. She went to defense school, then moved to California in 1943 and became a machinist for Lockheed. She married Joe Starick in 1945, and they had two children: daughter Diane, deceased in 1977, and son J. Ronald of Prescott, AZ, and his wife Jeanne. She has two grandchildren, Kimberly, married to Mike Thompson, and James Starick, all of Orange County, CA. Eileen married George Riddle in 1983, and they enjoyed camping and dancing. She was employed at JC Penney for 15 years, and retired in 1992. She had been a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Riverside since 1957. She was a past member of the Altar Society, and an active member of the Eucharistic Ministers. She volunteered for the Riverside After Stroke Group, Meals on Wheels for over 12 years, St. Jude Rosary Makers for over 15 years, precinct worker for elections for 30 years, and was an active member of the Goeske Senior Center for 16 years. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, and sewing. She lived in the same house in Riverside for 50 years. She has one surviving brother, Harold Stiefvater of Salem, South Dakota, and two sisters, Lou Ella Weber of Salem, South Dakota, and Doris Schaffer of Mitchell, South Dakota. She has numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her funeral will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Riverside on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. The viewing will begin at 10:00 am, the rosary will begin at 10:30 am, and the mass will begin at 11:00 am.
