Earl & Nell Rogers

EARL L. ROGERS of Riverside, California passed on October 10, 2010 in a local hospital. He was 80 years old. He had a long and distinguished military career, receiving many accolades and awards, including the Bronze Star. He is survived by his loving wife, Nell and their six children, Jimmy Burnette, Westland, MI, David Burnette, Harrison, TN, Linda Rogers Carter, Riverside, CA, Erna Rogers Peterson, Hixson, TN, Michael Rogers, Riverside, CA, Angel Rogers, Red Bank, TN and 25 wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, many nieces and nephews, all of whom helped make his life here on earth a happy one. We love you Papaw and you'll forever be in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Nelle Rogers of Chattanooga, TN, and three brothers, Blaine Jr., Frank and Paul and sister, Dean. They were also of Chattanooga, TN. A memorial service will be held at Acheson Graham & Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. NELL R. ROGERS Nell R. Rogers of Riverside, California passed on December 30, 2010 in a local hospital. She was 83 years old. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl on October 10, 2010. She is survived by their six children, Jimmy Burnette, Westland, MI, David Burnette, Harrison, TN, Linda Rogers Carter, Riverside, CA, Erna Rogers Peterson, Hixson, TN, Michael Rogers, Riverside, CA, Angel Rogers, Red Bank, TN, 25 wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Lily Wells, Fran Jones and brother Patrick Hamill. Also, many nieces and nephews, all of whom helped make her life here on earth a happy one. We love you Mamaw/Grandma and you\'ll forever be in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and May B. Hamill of Chattanooga, TN, brother George Hamill, and sister Mary Hamill Womack.
