Donald Dean MacDonald

He was called to his heavenly home on November 11, 2021 at the age of 85 years, 11 months, 17 days.

As an infant, he was baptized on Easter Sunday 1936 at the Federated Church in Sutton, Nebraska and later in life was confirmed. He became a member of St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Sutton. When they moved to Aurora, Nebraska, he became a member at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Aurora. He was an active member of Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Riverside, California at the time of his death. He remained a faithful Christian all of his life.

He was united in marriage to Wilma May Nunnenkamp on June 19, 1954 in the home of Wilma’s mother, Elizabeth Nunnenkamp. They were blessed with 4 children – Debra, Dennis, David and Darren. They resided in Sutton the first year of their marriage, moving to Aurora, where they raised their children. The family moved to Riverside California in 1977.

Dean was blessed with amazing career opportunities throughout his life. In 1976, his brother in law, George Nunnenkamp, encouraged him to come to California where he became the owner/operator of D&W Trucking Company. He was in business for 23 years retiring in 2000. What a blessed life!

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Wilma, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, his daughter, Debbie & her husband, Loren Wagner of Phoenix, AZ., his sons, Dennis of Menifee, CA., Dave and his wife, Nancy of Phoenix, AZ. and Darren and his wife, Stephanie of Riverside, CA., 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren, one brother and sister in law, Roger and his wife, Donna of Colorado Springs, Colorado as well as many other extended family members and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Goshorn.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 17 at 10:00 AM Crown of Life Church 5939 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA. 92506. Interment will be held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside CA. 92505.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to be designated to Crown of Life Lutheran Church – Riverside for the renovation fund.
