DALE O. SPARKMAN August 7, 1935 - March 16, 2011 Dale O. Sparkman, of Colton, CA, age of 75 went to be with our Lord on March 16, 2011. Dale was born in Wilson, Texas, and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, where his parents finally found a home. Dale lived the majority of his life in Colton, CA, where he met and soon married his loving wife, E. Jean (Norris) Sparkman on May 12, 1958. He passed away on her birthday, she said he had given her the most priceless gify a man can give his wife, he left Earth to enter Heaven. They had one son, Michael and Brandi Sparkman of Canyon Lake, CA. He was predeceased by his parents, William Sparkman and Ida Lea (Hoover) Sparkman of Roswell, New Mexico. He was predeceased by seven brothers and 5 sisters. His passing was the last of 13 children. He has three sister in laws, Mary Sparkman from Roswell, New Mexico, , Evelyn Sparkman from Oklahoma City, OK, a sister in law on his wife's side, Christine Davis of Medford, Oregon. One brother Louie Norris of Rialto, two sisters in law, Alice Martin of San Bernardino, CA, andJeanette White address unknown. He had many nieces and nephews that were special to him, and he loved them dearly, as does his wife Jean. Many loving friends, many in the singing Ministry. Dale had enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corp from 1953 to 1956 with a rank of Corporal. He rejoined the U.S. Navy in 1958 until his discharge February 1962 with the rank of Assistant Chief Petty Officer. One of his very best friends, Gary Ray served along side of him in the Navy, and they were friends to the end when Gary passed away. He was truly loved by everyone that knew him. Dale's last church home was The Colton First Assembly of God Church in Colton with Pastor Johnathan Florez. Visitation for Mr. Sparkman will be on Thursday, March 24th (on Mike, his son's birthday) from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel, at the Pierce Bros Crestlawn Mortuary, located at 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA 92505. After the Viewing Dale will be taken to the Graveside Service at 12:30 P.M.. Dale asked for one of our dearest friends and minister, Mark Ford to do the Graveside Services.
