Catherine L. McGraw

She served as a Deacon and sang in the choir at Magnolia Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin McGraw III; her parents, Robert and Emily Hand; and her sister Virginia A. Hands Richards.

Cathy was in the first graduating class of Ramona High School in 1960 and graduated from Riverside City College. She also served in the United States Navy. She retired from California State Employment Department. She traveled extensively and was active in service to her church. She was also a founding member of the Riverside – Chapter 13 Society of Military Widows and was the current President of the National SMW.

Cathy is survived by her two sons, Robert William McGraw and Michael Patrick McGraw [Maria]; her sister, Patricia Lee Walker; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews; and their children, as well as many cousins and many friends.

Cathy was a kind and loving friend beloved by family and treasured by those who knew and worked with her.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials go to Magnolia Presbyterian Church or the Society of Military Widows.
