Carolyn Mary McCollum

Carolyn grew up in Batavia and Stafford NY, graduating from Leroy High School in 1958. She then went on to attend Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN and graduated in 1961, which was the beginning of a 51 year nursing career that took her to Chicago, Ill, Long Beach CA, Lancaster CA, Orange and Riverside CA. Carolyn retired in 2012 after 34 years of service in the operating room and nursing education with Kaiser Permanente, during that time she obtained her BSN in Healthcare management from University of La Verne -1987, UC Riverside Master Gardener program and her Masters in Psychology from Cal State San Bernardino-1999.

Carolyn is survived by her second husband Garland McCollum, Daughters; Leslie (Sp.Tom) Pechatsko, Tracy “Tammy” (Sp. Robert) Pitt, Cara (Sp.Troy) Denomme, son; Joseph (Sp. Anna) Mullikin IV, Brothers; William(Sp.Gail) Nott, Richard (Sp.Carol) Nott, Martin (Sp.Nancy) Nott and sister Victoria (Sp.Don) Ingersoll, grandchildren; Erin “Lacey” Pechatsko, Morgan (Sp. Justin) Hill, Courtney Pechatsko, Grant Pechatsko, Charlotte Pitt, Oceana Legere, Sharlynn (Sp. Christopher) VanCampernole, Malcolm Denomme, Tyler Denomme, Tanner Denomme, Trey Denomme, Cody Mullikin, Abigail Mullikin, Aria Mullikin, and Zoe Mullikin, Great-grandchildren; Bayleigh Pechatsko and Olivia Legere.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent N. and Dorothy L. Nott of New York, her first husband Joseph C. Mullikin III, and great-granddaughter Adrienne Rose Pechatsko.

Carolyn loved to travel, whether close to home or abroad, especially river cruising in Europe. Her love of gardening and flowers showed in her yard and her love of music echoed everywhere she went. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and watching it grow in so many different ways.

Visitation will be Thursday March 5, 2020 from 4-8pm Acheson & Graham Garden of prayer 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, Ca. 92504

Flowers welcomed; however, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mayo Clinic – Rochester Minnesota, UCR Botanical Gardens or the World Wildlife Federation.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 7, 2020 at 1 o’clock; The Bridge in Corona Church
