Arthur was loved by many. He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. If you ask anybody anything about him, they would tell you he was a man of God. He was the type of person who would do anything for anybody. He would give you the shirt off his back. Arthur had a warm smile and a kind, big heart. He welcomed everyone in to his family. He was a playful sort and really enjoyed laughter. He cared very deeply for everyone, especially his family.
Born on January 18, 1944, Arthur grew up in Los Angeles, California with his parents Robert and Emilia Pérez and his four siblings: his brothers Robert, Samuel, and Daniel, and his sister Lina. He attended George Washington High School in Los Angeles where he met his sweetheart Vickie Sue Hill.
Arthur and Vickie were married on March 13, 1965 and were happily married for 51 years. They have two sons, Arthur, Jr. and Anthony. They moved to Riverside in 1975 where they made their home and raised their family. He has 5 grandkids – Brandi, Alexandria, Kelsey, Noah, and Jordan – whom he adored.
He started work with Rockwell in 1962 at the age of 18 and worked until the age of 67 when he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, sons, and grandchildren, and his three little dogs Honey, Skippy, and Sugar.
Arthur and Vickie attended Christian Life Center in Riverside since the early 1980s, which they saw as their second home. He was very involved in the church, helping out with anything that was needed.
Arthur Alfonzo Pérez, Sr. (72) entered into eternal life on September 1, 2016.
Arthur was truly a blessing to everyone he met and he will be greatly missed. He will forever be in our hearts. Arthur is survived by his wife Vickie, his sons Arthur, Jr. and Anthony (Sandy); his grandchildren Brandi, Alexandria, Kelsey, Noah, and Jordan; his siblings Robert (Marlene), Samuel (Wanda), Lina (Robert), and Daniel (Norma); and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
