Anthony “Tony” Frank Rizzi, age 91, of Riverside, California passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Born on September 27, 1930, Tony grew up in Brooklyn, NY, earned his GED and joined the Air Force. He worked for Western Electric, AT&T, and retired from LA Cellular, now known as Verizon Wireless. Tony coached Little League and was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF), Knights of Columbus, and the Loyal order of Moose. Tony will be remembered for his love of family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a way of making those around him feel like they were his favorite. Tony is survived by his children Jackie (John), Jim (Vicki), Frank (Cindy), Maria (Randy), Anthony (Linda), Cathy (Mark), 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, his sister Santina, and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Tony is preceded in death by his loving wife Aurora, his parents Vincenzo and Giacomina, and his sister Anna. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer on Sunday, May 22, 2022, starting at 5pm, followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm, and final viewing at 7pm. The following day, Monday, May 23, 2022, the Mass at 10am at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church with a luncheon immediately after at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Burial will follow at 2pm at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
