William “Billy” Newsom, 52, of Madison, MS passed away July 15, 2021. The family will accept friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 PM until 5 PM at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157. Visitation will also be held from 11 AM until 1 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, 2812 North Highland, Jackson, TN 38305. A graveside service to follow at 1 PM at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
Billy graduated from South Side High School in Jackson, TN. After dating for 6 years, he married Catherine Ada in 1994 at First Baptist Bemis in Jackson, TN. They moved to Edmund, OK and then later to Madison, MS. He worked as a salesman in industrial electronics for Carlton-Bates Company for 31 years. He was a member at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Catherine; two sons, Grant and Eric Newsom; and numerous family and friends.
