Susan Rene’ Epps Wilbanks born 1/22/1957 and called home into the arms of Jesus 2/11/2020, was a loving wife, mother and Nana. Playing piano and keyboard were expressions of her love for our LORD. Teaching children about JESUS and about GOD’s love through music was her passion. Susan taught children’s choirs for 25 years at Broadmoor Baptist Church, “retiring” in 2010 to care for granddaughter, Mackenzie. She passionately embraced the mission of The Little Light House, where she volunteered while Mackenzie attended class. Susan purposed to reflect JESUS in both word and deed.
Philippians 4:4-7 were verses that came to mean a lot to her and Mike over the years. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:4-7 ESV
Susan is survived by her husband of 42 and 1/2 years, Mike; sons Trent Wilbanks (Joy) and David Wilbanks(Chelcie); grandchildren, Ashlynn Wilbanks, Anna Kathryn Wilbanks, Caleb Wilbanks, Daniel Wilbanks, Micah Wilbanks, Ainsleigh Wilbanks, Lydia Wilbanks, and Charlotte Grace Rene’ Wilbanks, sister Kathy Malone (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clifford and Sue Epps, and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Elaine Wilbanks.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in her name to the Worship Arts Ministry at Broadmoor Baptist Church or to The Little Light House of Central Mississippi.
