Sarah Nell Lawrence Parkerson passed away peacefully on November 12, 2022 in Madison, MS. Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Farris (Buddy) Parkerson in 2008. Nell was born in Kosciusko, MS in 1935 to Homer and Gladys Lawrence of Kosciusko. She was the 4th of 7 children, all of which preceded her in death. Nell met Buddy at a friend’s party. He rode in on a motorcycle, and they were married soon after in 1954. Nell worked for South Central Bell until they moved to Ridgeland, MS in 1958 for Buddy’s newly attained job with Texas Eastern. Their only child, Gail, was born in 1959 and currently lives in Madison. Nell and Buddy moved to Madison, MS in 1986 to be closer to their first grandson. They attended First Presbyterian of Madison. When Buddy retired, they spent most of their time traveling with friends in their motorhome. Nell loved to bake and cook. She always brought goodies for their friends. The homemade caramel cake and peanut brittle were always favorites. Nell is survived by her daughter Gail Hunt, 2 grandsons: Matthew Hunt (Lauren) and Michael Hunt (Chelsey) and 4 great grandchildren: Cannon, Hadley, Charlie, and Hollis. All of Madison, MS.
