She was born on May 19th, 1929 in Philadelphia Mississippi to the late, Jane and Junius Fox, and was raised on a small farm in The Coldwater community of Neshoba County, Mississippi.
Sara Jane Fox, graduated from Coldwater High School, in Philadelphia Ms. 1947
Sara attended, Mississippi College for Women.
Sara Fox, married, Dewitt “Buddy” DeWeese, and together they had two children, DeWitt DeWeese III, and Daniel DeWeese (deceased).
Sara was a precious and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews before finally becoming a mother herself in 1962.
In 1984, Sara married her Prince Ray. Where she resided in their home in Madison Ms. for the last 35 years.
Ray and Sara loved to travel and were avid golfers and summered in their second home in the Mount Glenn area of North Carolina and were members of the Mount Glenn Golf Community and spent many memorable summers there with great friends.
Sara was an accomplished golfer and the first female stock holder of Colonial Country Club where she remained a member and club champion more than once.
Sara always enjoyed a good laugh with friends and family. She also enjoyed bridge, tennis, and loved fishing in her younger years. Sara will be remembered as a beautiful, gracious and very humble loving lady.
Sara is survived by her sister, Billy Fox Greenleaf, son’s; DeWitt DeWeese III, Mike R. Foil, Lane Foil. Grandchildren; Dillon DeWeese, Demi DeWeese, Daniel DeWeese, Allison Foil, Hadleigh Foil Farmer, she was predeceased by her son Daniel DeWeese, sister, Annelle Fox Ouellette, and loving husband Mr. Ray B. Foil.
Visitation for Sara Fox Foil will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland Ms. March 8th at 2:00pm. Funeral service following at 3:30pm.
