Sandra Sanders Farmer

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Farmer; her parents, Jack Sanders and Helen Sanders; her sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Warren Logan; her brother-in-law, Bob Wilkins; as well as her nephews, Andrew “Andy” Myers, Greg Wilkins, Jeff Wilkins, and Brad Wilkins.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Marie Wilkins; daughter, Debbie Hamby (Greg); son, Brad Farmer (Jennifer); grandchildren, Ashley Hamby Horaist (Doug), Trace Hamby (Bradyn), Jessie Farmer, and Kenzie Farmer; nephews, Mark Myers and Todd Myers (Susan); and niece, Katrina Murray (Scott).

Sandra's deepest joy in life resided in her beloved grandchildren. She never missed a baseball game, a gymnastics meet, or any special event they had. As an affectionate and devoted grandmother, they were the light of her life. Her selfless love and the time she shared with them will forever be cherished.

Sandra retired from General Motors after a dedicated career of 35 years. She was a member of First Ridgeland Baptist Church.

She selflessly cared for her husband, Ben, for 14 years during his battle with Parkinson's disease. She and Ben enjoyed spending time watching NASCAR together, and they found great joy in going camping together and bringing along their grandchildren to spend quality time with.

Alan Jackson was her favorite singer, and she enjoyed attending country music concerts, including numerous country music festivals in Nashville.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Parkway Funeral Home with the funeral immediately following at 11:00 am.

Serving as pallbearers are Brad Farmer, Greg Hamby, Trace Hamby, Collin Mascagni, Todd Myers, Marcus Myers and Mark Myers.
