Renee Slay Booth, 49, of Madison, MS passed away on February 19, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Renee was born in Quitman, MS on March 13, 1968 to Patricia Waller Slay and Robert Bryant Slay. She graduated from Quitman High School and served as the Clarke County Junior Miss. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and a Master’s Degree from Murray State University.
Renee was married to her husband Jeff Booth for 27 years, and their 3 children, Anna, Abby and Hunter were the joy of her life. Throughout their marriage they lived in Memphis, TN; Butler, NJ; Murray, KY; Cleveland, MS; and finally settling in Madison, MS. Renee loved her calling as an elementary school teacher and enjoyed Mississippi State football, summers at the beach and spending time with friends and family. Renee is preceded in death by her father Bryant Slay. Renee is survived by her husband Jeff Booth and daughters Abby and Anna of Madison, MS; her son Hunter Booth of Oxford, MS; her mother Patricia Slay and brother Robert Slay both of Quitman, MS.

Funeral services will be held at Madison United Methodist Church in Madison, MS on Thursday, February 22 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Renee’s name to the Madison United Methodist Church or Global Outreach International – Nelson Ministry (Account # 4308) – P.O.
