Mary Louise Young

She was recently employed at Highlands Mother's Morning Out. She also was employed at Jackson Academy and was a teacher at Briarwood Kindergarten. She was previously employed as a teacher at First Baptist Kindergarten in Biloxi, MS when she lived in Ocean Springs, MS for 30 years. She moved to Jackson in the 90's.

While on the Coast she was active in the Garden Club and Singing River Art Association which is where she developed her skills and love for painting. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years in Ocean Springs, taught Bible School and was a member of the Explorer's Bible Study.

She is survived by her three children, John Henderson Young, III (Laura), Julie Young Crosland (Craig), Mindy Young Roberts (David). She had 8 grandchildren Anna Laura Young West (Hayden), John Henderson Young, IV (Frances), James Peaster Young (CiCi), Pearce Berry Crosland, Claire Craig Crosland, Selah Marymarie Roberts, Ralph David Roberts IV, Clark Alexander Roberts. She also leaves three great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sisters Margie Berry Luft and Nancy Berry Post and was predeceased by a brother Art Berry, Jr. and sister Betty Joy Berry Harris

Funeral arrangements will be Tuesday, August 30 at Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland with the visitation at 1:00 followed by a memorial service at 2:00.
