Magalee Jackson Butler finished her earthly race on Sunday, February 13, 2022! Today she is celebrating His “Amazing Grace” in heaven with her beloved husband, Bill. Magalee and Bill were married 73 years. Together they lived in four states and raised two daughters. Later, they enjoyed travels including Washington D. C. and Alaska.
Magalee had a true servant’s heart. She unselfishly and sacrificially loved and cared for her family. Her love was always unconditional. She was a protector, disciplinarian, and friend, always patient and willing to listen with empathy and wisdom.
Magalee faced the long journey of Alzheimer’s disease with courage, grace and kindness. She always had a thank you for each and every caregiver.
Magalee is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Butler of N Charleston, SC and Barbara Summer (John) of Brandon, MS; sister, Albertine Alston of Torrance, CA; and niece, Cheryl Moulton of Torrance, CA.
A service for the family was held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
