Had the pleasure to know Louis's mother and dad  when I became a Realtor in the early seventies..   I have lost touch with Bernice  and would love to hug her and let her know that I know what a credit to the wonderful parents he had Louis was. I wish I had known him and  I share with so many friends the sadness of his death.

Mr. Louis was always so nice to me. He was one of my first customers 15 years ago when I started my business. He was fair, honest and great at his craft. His superintendents and employees loved working for him and I enjoyed doing business with him. I am so sorry for his loss. We will all miss him greatly and what a loss to the building community. Mr. Louis sure knew how to renovate a house! He was a master of his craft.

 I am glad that Cedar Hill will be honored with a token of his presence. I think that is a wonderful,sweet and fitting tribute. I was so happy and relieved when you and Louis took the place because I knew you truly appreciated and enjoyed it. It's the home of many years of fond memories. I still laugh at the story of John and Louis and the inter-tube ride to the dam and back, and all the days of Cissy fetching the tennis ball from the lake. Those were good days.
