Mr. Larry Verlon Oden

Mr. Larry V. Oden, 63, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home in Ridgeland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 27 at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Visitation will also be held at the church from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 AM Monday. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Monday at the Forest Hill South Cemetery in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Oden was born February 28, 1948 in Booneville, MS. A retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, he served his Country for over 20 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Oden was a faithful member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison.

Mr. Oden was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Warren and Virginia Young Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Pat Oden of Ridgeland; sons, Rodger Oden (Wendy) of Madison and Brian Clanton of Memphis; daughters, Kay Terrell of Middleburg, FL and Stephanie Rolph (Marc) of Madison; and sisters, Linda Jackson (Michael) of Piperton, TN and Lisa Hildebrand (Allyn) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren.

Mr. Oden never met a stranger and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
