Kathy had a great laugh, and I can hear her say, "She/he is such a hoot!" Kathy was a people person, upbeat, and had a sense of humor to boot. I was one of her many friends from Murrah High School. What a beloved person she was, and I am going to miss her. 

I’ll never forget when Cousin Kathy and her friend Phyllis came to visit us in Washington, DC one summer.  They got to stay in my room and I was banished to the basement.  What fun it was to hang out with those “big girls”.  

You know she’s having the time of her life now reuniting with our aunts and grandparents.  She will be missed.   

Kathy was so loved by and precious to my sister, Katie.  Their friendship lasted a lifetime. She was special to our entire family. I'm so saddened to hear of her passing. I believe that Katie and Kathy are having a joyous reunion in heaven! Connie Avent Suber

I have known dear Kathy since  McWillie.  Several years ago she got interested in genealogy.  Her dad's mother's last name was Hudson.  She connected our families back to the 1600s.  She made copies of her research which I gave to my dad.  After that, we were "Cousin Kathy" and "Cousin Michelle".  What a treat.  

I was so glad when Amy (Strickland) York introduced me to Bowman in high school. Bowman was so funny, but the thing I remember the most was her special gift of making others feel better about themselves. Great person.

Kathy's family lived behind ours when we were in first grade and we were playmates. I saw Kathy for the first time since high school at our 30th reunion. She came up and introduced herself and reminded me that my mother had made some earrings for her mother when we were young and that her mother still had them. Weeks later after the reunion I received a package in the mail from Kathy. It was the earrings. 

I married into Kathy's family and from the very beginning, she always made me feel loved and a part of all their sweet family. We shared a love of genealogy and all things "Southern". 

I just keep thinking of how happy she must be getting to see those family members who went before her - her precious aunts, father, mother, and even her grandparents who she spoke of so fondly. She has a wonderful Christian heritage and will be greatly missed!

I am among many of Bowman's friends missing her and so sad that her life has been cut short because of this disease.  She could talk to anyone, with ease, as Keith said.   Bowman was a joy to be around, always making you laugh.  And when you needed someone, a friend, to talk to, you called Bowman.  She was / is loved.

I went to school with Kathy since 7th grade. I really got to know her my senior year and we became good friends. We had alot of fun together especially on gym class and playing badminton. Ill always remember her beautiful smile and kindness .  RIP, Kathy. You will be missed. 

With both of us being "K" Kathy's, we were often grouped together at Murrah! She was sooo friendly to me and, I loved her smile. I saw her at Kroger a few years back and a a brief but wonderful visit! I had no idea she was ill and, therefore, am sooo sad to hear she has died. May God's grace cover her family as they travel this journey called "grief"! Because of the virus, I will not be at her visitation and funeral.
