Jian-Dong Zhu

Jian- Dong Zhu, 35, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Frank was a gentle spirit, hard-working and willing helper. Most of all, Frank demonstrated characteristics of a Christian. He was well liked and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Jian-Dong was born on November 7, 1977 and grew up in Langqi, Fujian, China. He moved to Jackson from New York and came to love the city as he worked here from 1998 to 2003. As a business owner he traveled extensively and lived in different states, but he always considered Jackson his home away from home and returned to open a business in Jackson two years ago.

He is survived by his parents Lixun Zhu and Meizhu Chen of Fujian, China and younger brother Jianxin of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by his wife, Lian Chen, son Caleb and daughter Iane.

The first visitation will be held at Ridgeland Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home from 4:30 – 5:30 pm on Tuesday, January 15 followed by a memorial service. A second visitation will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, 360 High Street from 10:00-12:00pm on Wednesday, January 16 followed by a procession to Parkway Memorial Cemetery, adjacent to Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
