Jean Warren Jackson

Mrs. Jackson was born on March 6, 1932 near Mount Olive, Mississippi to L.V. Warren and Christine Williamson Warren. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson in 1950. Mrs. Jackson spent her career in the insurance industry, where she worked as an operations manager for Allstate. She married Gene S. Jackson of Mount Ida, Arkansas on August 16, 1980.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband Gene; daughter, Christy Cain of Madison; her son-in-law, Jerry Cain of Madison; her grandson, Walt Cain of Washington, D.C.; her granddaughter, Mary Claire Buck (Will) of Jackson; her stepson, Brent Jackson (Sue) of Sawanee, Georgia; her stepson, Scott Jackson (Tina) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and her stepdaughter, Terry Webster (Donnie) of Covington, Georgia.

Known to the many who loved her as Mama Jean, Mrs. Jackson had a lively spirit, generous heart, and zest for life that endeared her to all. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed and long remembered.

Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland on Wednesday, July 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., as well as from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 30 with a memorial service immediately to follow. Mrs. Jackson will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Animal Rescue and Adoptions, Mississippi or The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy.
