Jane D. Skelton, Age 92, a resident of The Blake, Ridgeland, Mississippi, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. She was a native of Cadaretta, Mississippi and lived in Eupora, MS, for 32 years before moving to Jackson, MS in 1975.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Rufus and Mary Doolittle, her first husband of 29 years, Malcolm L. Landrum, her second husband of 27 years, Billy J. Skelton, two sons, Terry Malcolm Landrum and George Sterling Landrum, and her siblings Earl Pryor Doolittle and Joy D. Ross.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald P. Landrum (Ann) and Craig N. Landrum (Patti), step-daughter Deborah Skelton, step-sons Dana W. Skelton (Sherry) and Robert H. Waller (Mary Helen), six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Mississippi State College for Women, now Mississippi University for Women, she was multi-talented as a gifted, self-taught artist, interior designer and gardener. A later passion was travel and she traveled widely throughout Europe and North America. A friend characterized her as industrious, thoughtful and kind. She was a member of Northminster Baptist Church in later years.
