Gertrude was born in Flora, MS on June 26, 1929 to Lucille and Cecil Price. She attended Central High School.
Gertrude married James Wallace and together they had four children, Virginia, Jane, Bruce, and Price.
She was a resident of Jackson until her move in 1971 to Mendenhall, MS. She worked as secretary and bookkeeper for the family business, Wallace Tractor. Gertrude was also a proud member of the Gideon Society and Mendenhall Business Club.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Wallace; parents, Cecil and Lucille Price; daughter, Virginia Robinson; son, Bruce Wallace; brothers, Cecil Ray Price and CPL Robert Edward Price; and sister, Doris Lanell Price.
Gertrude is survived by her son, Price (Cindy) Wallace and daughter, Jane (Anthony) Terreri, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Mendenhall on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 12:00 noon. Visitation for Gertrude Wallace will be held at The Church of Mendenhall from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at The Church of Mendenhall.
Memorial donations may be made in Gertrude’s name to The Church of Mendenhall, 331 Ash Street, Mendenhall, MS 39114.
