Elizabeth Brown Luckett

Elizabeth was born on November 12, 1931 in Kosciusko, MS to Jim and Maudie Brown. She graduated from Ethel High School. Elizabeth married Harry Luckett and together they raised 6 children. Elizabeth loved her family and dedicated her life to them.

Elizabeth was a skilled homemaker who enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones and guests. Her past time was spent in gardening, knitting, working crossword puzzles, and word search books. She also loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Elizabeth is survived by her children David Luckett (Rhonda), Daniel Luckett (Gen), Diana Luckett-Conn (Larry), Melinda Welch (Steve), and Mark Luckett (Susan). She is also survived by her grandchildren Holly Armstrong, Tobi Breland, Zach Luckett, Amanda Luckett, Troy Luckett, Michael Luckett, Austin Morgan, Lauren Stegall, Clayton Welch, Cody Welch, Stacey Jones and Kyle Geoghegan. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Maudie Brown, husband Harry Luckett, sisters Mavis Lee, Lucille Burns, and Francis Nowell, son Mike Luckett, and grandson Drew Luckett.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2014 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at 1 p.m. prior to the funeral, which will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. with the burial to follow at Lakewood South Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
