Clint Eugene Case passed away peacefully the morning of November 15, 2023. Clint and his sister (Kay) and their brother (Dwain), grew up in the small community of Caseyville, MS. The son of a dairy farmer (Hot) and a homemaker (Elmerita), Clint graduated from Lloyd Star High School in 1963. Clint continued his education at Copiah Lincoln Junior College with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts in 1965. Clint also received a Bachelor of Business and Economics Degree from Mississippi College in 1971 and his Master of Business Administration, also from MC, in 1972.
In 1965, Clint married the former Sue Anding of Brookhaven. They began building their lives together in Natchez where they welcomed a new baby (Andy) in December 1965. A year later, they would relocate to Cleveland, MS and then to Jackson, MS. Their second son was born in 1971 (Shaw). Clint and Sue relocated to Clinton, MS where they would raise both boys through high school and college. Once the boys graduated college, Clint and Sue purchased a lot at Lake Caroline in Madison, MS. This was their forever home that they built together and they took tremendous pride not only in their home and lake view, but in the friendships forged on Belle Pointe throughout their retirement.
Clint began his career working for Mississippi Power and Light. While pursuing his MBA, Clint was offered a position with Redd Pest Control. Clint began as an administrative assistant for one year and then was named District Manager in charge of Central Mississippi sales and service operations. In 1978, Clint was named Division Vice-President. In 1984, Clint was promoted to Regional Vice-President, the position he eventually retired in. Clint found his work home at Redd Pest Control and loved all the families he served and worked with.
Clint also enjoyed serving his community. Clint was a charter member and past president of the Clinton Rotary Club, a Junior Achievement Advisor, a Vice-President of Jackson Sales and Marketing Executive Club, a member of Christian Men’s Business Committee, and a member of the Clinton YMCA. Clint, along with Sue, enjoyed serving at Wildwood Baptist Church by teaching Sunday school, participating on Finance and Building Committees and helping with youth events. Once in Madison, Clint and Sue found their church home at First Baptist Madison and continued their “small” group community in Patsy Tolleson’s Sunday school class.
Clint and Sue enjoyed having both of their sons and daughter in laws (Sharon and Roxanne) live just minutes from them in Madison. Clint (Bop as he was called) was blessed with four more boys for grandsons, Taylor and Tanner (Andy), and Harrison and Peyton (Shaw). Clint loved these boys and enjoyed the blessing of seeing them graduate high school, and college, and each make their way in life. Most recently, he watched as the family has grown larger with the weddings of two of his grandsons Taylor (Elizabeth) and Peyton (Avery).
Clint’s purpose in life was entertaining his family, enjoying lake life at Lake Caroline, cooking and a good book. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both fishing and hunting, which he shared with his sons and grandsons. Clint was also the ultimate “handyman” and carpenter. There was no project he could not tackle or find some way to “fix” himself. Clint’s general rule of thumb was not to pay someone else to do anything. His Adirondack chairs, made by hand for Sue and each of the kids, have been painted every color from lime green to bright purple, and still sit outside everyone’s houses.
Clint, a previous jogger, was known to take long daily walks along Belle Pointe with his other soulmate and loving companion Beau Lee (dog) and Sue was known to get in her car to go look for him when he was gone too long. He was often found in someone’s yard giving advice or just simply visiting. Those who knew him, knew him to have a very dry sense of humor. He didn’t say much but when he did, it made an impact and it always generated laughter. With a calm demeanor and quiet personality, he was the perfect soulmate for Sue who never hesitated to speak for the both of them.
Clint lost his first love and soulmate on May 13, 2022. The loss of Sue left an empty place in Clint’s heart that he would carry until he passed away. However, we were blessed to enjoy and spend time with Clint over these last 18 months. Sue preceded Clint in death, but we know she made a place to welcome him. We have peace knowing Clint is with Sue and our Lord and on a golden Belle Pointe in heaven.
Clint was preceded in death by Sue and by his parents (Clinton Hot and Elmerita Durr). He is survived by sons Andy (Sharon) and Shaw (Roxanne), grandsons Taylor (Elizabeth), Tanner, Harrison, Peyton (Avery), great grandchildren (Gardner and Mills), brother Dwain (Robin) and sister Kay (Carson) Hughes.
Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church of Madison on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow. There will be a family grave side service at Parkway Cemetery, Madison, MS following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunnybrook Children’s Home, Ridgeland, MS or First Baptist Church of Madison, MS.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.parkwayfuneralhomeridgeland.com for the Case family.
