Charley Mac Jones was born March 24, 1930 in Weir, MS and passed away Wednesday February 9, 2011 at River Oaks Hospital. He was a resident of Madison who was formerly of Schlater, MS and Jackson, MS. He attended the University of Mississippi and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Charley was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, the Wahabi Shriners Drum Corp and the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Mavis Jones, and brothers, Billy and Bobby Jones,
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patsy Wright Jones; daughters, Latrelle Jones Davis (Doug) and Marchelle Jones Pace (Michael); grandsons, Todd (Rachel) and Chad Davis, Reid (Stefanie) and Justin Pace; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Hannah Davis and Ben and Carter Pace.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday February 12, 2011 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church preceded by visitation at 10am. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Saturday at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church, St. Johns United Methodist Church, or the Wahabi Temple.
