Charles Richard Smith, age 90, of Jackson passed away November 12, 2022. Parkway Funeral Home has been entrusted to provide cremation services.
Charles was born June 21, 1932 in McNary County, TN and resided in Jackson, MS since 1954. He became a Mason. Charles worked for South Central Heating and Plumbing until 1974 when he formed his own business, Smith Mechanical, Inc. Charles served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He and his wife were members of First Baptist Church of Madison. He was an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Smith; son, Charles F. Smith and his wife, Donna G. Smith; four grandchildren, Jessica S. Hilsman, Robert L. Smith, Joseph C. Smith, and Joshua P. Smith; and nine great-grandchildren.
