Carolyn Barnes Duke, 86, passed away October 19, 2012, at home with family. Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2012, at 12:00pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS, with a graveside service to be held at 1:00pm in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Carolyn was born on June 13, 1926, in Marion County, MS, to her parents Lee and Aletha Barnes, who preceded her in death.
Carolyn was a graduate of Oakvale High School in Jefferson Davis County. She married Fred B. Duke, Jr. in 1950. They resided in Jackson for the last forty two years. She was retired from her position at Southwest Administrators. She and Fred were members of Christ United Methodist Church.
Her husband preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Adcock of Madison, MS and grandchildren, Cameron and Katie, also of Madison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
