Bonnie Jo Sessums Hoy

Bonnie Jo went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022. Bonnie was born on January 13, 1932, in Lena, MS. She was the daughter of the late Ellis Davis Sessums and Velma Sessums Mahaffey.Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, William Eldridge Hoy, and son, Eldridge Dickerson (Dick) Hoy. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hoy Atkins (Bob); her sister, Rebecca Sessums Wells (Joe); her grandchildren, Brad Atkins, Lindsey Atkins Smith (Brant), Stewart Hoy (Marie), Mykel Hoy Read (Chris); her niece, Stephanie Branigin Fried (Steve), and seven great grandchildren.

Bonnie was a loving and kind lady. She always had a servant’s heart in all things. Bonnie selflessly devoted her life to her family, friends and church, First Baptist Church of Madison, MS. She loved the Lord and always had a sweet spirit towards everyone she came in contact with. She will be missed terribly, but we rejoice in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior.

A graveside service will be held at Montgomery Cemetery in Madison, MS on October 6 at 10:00 am.

The family would like to thank the staff of SummerHouse Beau Ridge, Compassus Hospice Care, and Dr. Joe Terry for their kind and compassionate care of Bonnie.
