Betty O Allen

Betty was born in Jackson, Mississippi on February 13, 1945 to Alice Ruth Carr Owens and John Drew Owens, Sr. She attended Murrah High School.

Betty married James Richard (Dick) Allen, and together they had one child, Trudy Denine (Deni) Allen Webster. She worked as an underwriter and administrative assistant in the insurance industry. Betty was also a proud member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Betty is survived by her daughter, Trudy Denine (Deni) Allen Webster; two grandchildren, James Anthony (Tony) Byrd and Meghan Gwen Byrd; five great grandchildren, Zoey Grace Byrd, James Allen Byrd, Jessie Drew Byrd, Jade Marie Newell, and Gwen Rose Byrd; and sister, Cheryl Ann Owens Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and John Drew Owens; husband, James Richard (Dick) Allen; brother, John Drew Owens Jr.; and grandson, Blake Anthony Byrd.

Funeral services will be head at Franklin Baptist Church on June 30, 2021 at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior.

Memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to Animal Rescue Fund of Mississippi.
