William I. “Bill” Hicks, Jr., 95, of Henrico, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was retired from Delta Airlines in Miami, FL and was an avid boatman and sailor. He was a member of the Alberg 30 Club and moored his boat in Deltaville, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Hicks; father, William I. Hicks, Sr.; mother, Arlie Gill Buchanan; and two brothers, Lee and Bernard Hicks of Richmond. Bill is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Michael Colvin of Brunswick, GA; and son, Timothy Hicks of Richmond; grandchildren, Michele Colvin-Rogers, Ian Hicks and Ty Hicks; sister, Norma Rundberg; and nephew, Billy Hicks. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 23, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will immediately follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
