Wayne Thomas Cross

Wayne Thomas Cross, 72, of Bon Air, died Monday, February 5, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Ferguson Cross; two sons, Gregory Wayne Cross and girlfriend, Leslie Middleton, and Matthew Thomas Cross and his wife, Laura; two granddaughters, Madalyn and Taryn Cross; and granddaughters of his heart, Kayla and Rachel Blake; sisters in law, June Leffler Cross and Marcia Ferguson Oglesby and her husband, William G. Oglesby; also beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne was a Vietnam veteran, proudly serving in the U. S. Navy; he retired from Philip Morris, USA with over 34 years of service; and loved spending time on the water, boating and fishing, especially when accompanied by his sons; Wayne enjoyed wood working and made many special pieces for his wife and family.

The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday.
