He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Boswell.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn “Kathy” Stine Boswell, his son Justin C. Boswell (Chelsea) of New Kent and grandsons Canaan and Caleb. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Beth Wright (Raymond) and brother-in-law Donnie Stine(Michelle); nieces Tracey Robinson(Chris), Meagan Wright and Kaylin Stine; great nephew and great niece Brayden and Krista Robinson.
He coached several years as a high school baseball coach at Mechanicsville (formerly Lee-Davis) High School and Varina High School. He also coached several travel baseball teams. His knowledge of baseball seemed to be never ending and he was greatly admired by his former players. Walter was a musician and played in numerous country bands for over 50 years in the Richmond area. He was a wonderful story teller and had a laugh that was like no other.
A celebration of his life will be held in the near future. Details to be announced.
