Muldoon, Vivian Eleanor, (known to some as “Mrs. Fantastic”) of Richmond Va., went home to be with the Lord on November 17th, 2014. She will be reunited with her mother Clementine Sands, her loving husband Thomas W. Muldoon and her two sisters Eleaner and Susan. Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on August 29th, 1929, was the oldest of five children. Her father left when she was ten and she raised her four siblings. After moving to Richmond in 1958, she was a stay at home mom and drove a school bus while raising her four children to buy them a swimming pool. In her seventies, she learned to upholster, tap dance, play the organ, and sang in the Henrico County Pops Chorus. Dad died when she was seventy three and she had to learn to pump gas, take care of the pool and house, and went to work. She learned to be tough at an early age and inspired many along the way.
The Muldoons are charter members of Skipwith United Methodist Church where Vivian sang in the church choir for over 50 years. She is survived by a large and loving family. Her sister Jane and brother Bruce, wife Lois and a sister-in-law Doris. Sons, Tommy, (Wendy), Larry, (Marci), Bobby, (Robbin), daughter Vivian, (“Bubba”). Her grandchildren Corey, Jenny (Mark), Sarah, Amy (Mike), Lori (Mike), Rob, Rich, (Krista), Layna (Michael) Christian (Chad), Christopher (Heather), Hunter, and Madison. Her great grand children, Liam, Lennon, Kylie, Dawson, Allen, Malik, Elijah, Autumn, Coleson, Nevin, Marley, Ezra, Eizley, Rilee Ann and Reid and a large number of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her wonderful friends at Gayton Terrace, Verna, Betty, Rachael, Dorothy, Ann, and Dave. The family could not have gotten through this without At Home Hospice Care. Sally, Michelle, and Vicky, and also Diana, Anita and Melanie (“Blondie”) at Autumn Care. You are the best, thank you for all you have done. Mom fought CBD right up until the end. She truly was “Mrs. Fantastic”.
